Quiz Progress & Troubleshooting

Quiz Progress

To track progress you need to tick the checkbox labelled Require section completion when creating a quiz.

When a user watches a video and takes a quiz, that session is temporarily stored on the users device (until they close their browser/clear browser data) and on the server (for 1 day).

  • This means if you masquerade as the user you might not see the same information as them depending on the time that's passed.
  • It also means if a user switches devices, they might have to watch the video again.

Troubleshooting

Sometimes a user might be having an issue with quizzes, here are some tips to help troubleshoot some different quiz scenarios.

  • The most likely reason a user cannot take a quiz is because they haven't watched enough of the video. To check this, on the video page ask them to open up the progress section in the quiz tab. It'll tell you how much time is left to watch before the quiz can be taken and which chapters have been completed. You maybe need to either screen share with the user, request a screenshot, or masquerade as the user to get this information.
  • Sometimes a user might put the tab in the background and if this happens, they needs to be watching the video for tracking purposes.
  • Public quizzes can be taken by anyone, they are mainly used on standalone players and show an initial data capture form to grab essential information. This essential information is already populated if a user is logged in to the site.
  • Private quizzes require a user to be logged in to our site before they can take the quiz.
  • All quizzes will require a user to have watched 50 minutes of video before the quiz can be taken as long as this rule is set in the quiz configuration.
