HTML Content

Adding HTML content to a channel page will allow you to add any number of HTML elements to a page. These can range from Headers, paragraphs, bullet lists, images, links, and other more basic things all the way to advanced HTML.

Before you can add HTML content to a channel, you need to have created a section for it. If you haven't already done this please refer to the guide on Setting up Tabs & the Landing page.

Instructions

Now you've selected HTML Content as the Tab Type you will get an editor that you can enter content in. Add any content that is required.

If you need to add HTML directly, you can click the Source button to toggle source view and you can then paste/add in any html content.

Before going too far with this you may need to adjust the Text format as this dropdown will affect the content complexity you'll be able to add. More information of these can be found by clicking the 'About text formats' button, but the main ones you'll need are listed here:

  • Restricted HTML - Allowed HTML tags: <a href hreflang> <em> <strong> <cite> <blockquote cite> <code> <ul type> <ol start type> <li> <dl> <dt> <dd> <h2 id> <h3 id> <h4 id> <h5 id> <h6 id>
  • Basic HTML - Allowed HTML tags: <a href hreflang> <em> <strong> <cite> <blockquote cite> <code> <ul type> <ol start type> <li> <dl> <dt> <dd> <h2 id> <h3 id> <h4 id> <h5 id> <h6 id> <p> <br> <span> <img src alt height width data-entity-type data-entity-uuid data-align data-caption>
  • Full HTML - All HTML tags allowed.

Once you're done, click Create Section or Update Section if you're editing a previously created section.

Saving the channel will make the section name appear

Once you've pressed Create Section you may notice the section you've just created won't have a title in the section list even though you added it in the field. It won't appear until you save the channel.
