Live Events

Before you continue with this guide you need to have started creating a video record. You can do this with a Media Manager video which is with our video management platform, or a Third Party video/embed.

Introduction

Adding a Live Event Registration to a video record, makes the video into a live event.

A countdown to when the Live Event starts is shown to users (in the same way it does for a premiere video) based on the start time of the Live Event.

If the video has a thumbnail, this is shown behind the countdown timer.

Masterclass live event views

If you need the Live views for a Masterclass to be recorded against a specific player, please make sure to set that player in the video record. But also remember to remove this player after the live event otherwise all normal views will be recorded against it as well.

Using your video page as a Live Event

The Live Event tab allows you to create or link an event registration form to your video.

To create and link a new registration form select Add new registration and complete the form. You can find more information on creating one in the creating live event guide.

If your event registration form has already been created you can click the Add existing registration option. Type the name of your form into the field - it will autocomplete and you can select your form once it appears in the list. Then click Add registration.

Details of registrants for your event will then be accessible from the video page form.
