Replacing an uploaded file (keeping the original URL)
Often it becomes necessary to replace a previously uploaded image or document without changing the URL. This may be because the URL has already been shared or used in an email that has been sent.
To replace your file navigate to Admin > Content > Media
. Here will be a list of uploaded documents and images, with details and options not available on the Files page.
Use the filters to locate the file you wish to replace. Once found select 'Edit'. This will show you the original form completed when the file was uploaded. Simply remove the version of the file and then upload the file you wish to replace it with.
Email Images
If you are replacing an image that has been included in an email that has already been sent, please note users who have already accessed the email via mail client apps such as Outlook or Apple Mail will not get the updated images when returning to the email. Users of online clients such as Gmail or Hotmail will see updated versions once your image has been replaced.
