Podcast Directories

We have two podcast directories across our sites, one for Insurance Podcasts on Insure TV and one for Investment Podcasts on Asset TV.

Managing the Directory

The Directory is a list of Articles that redirect to the appropriate Podcast. To add one, you can follow these instructions.

Adding an entry allows you to add a podcast name, thumbnail that'll show on the grid, and assign it to the Podcast Directory. To point it to the actual podcast URL, you need to use a redirect.

Creating the entry

First create a new article, go to Admin > Content, and click Add Content, then select Article.

Next complete the details for the article, focusing on the Name, Thumbnail, and Channel, then Save the article.

Redirecting to the actual Podcast

To redirect the article to the correct place, you need two things, the URL of the article you're going to redirect (you created this in the previous section) and the URL of the podcast you need to redirect to.

Now you can use that data and follow the guide on how to set up a redirect.

Editing an existing Podcast entry

Changing the Name, Thumbnail or Channel

Go to Admin > Content and filter for only Articles. Find the article you want to update and click Edit.

Change any of the details you need to and click Save.

Changing the Redirect

Go to Configuration > Search and metadata > URL redirects and find the redirect you want to update.

It's easiest to do by searching for the URL the article is redirecting to (the URL of the podcast in this case).

Click Edit on the redirect and update the Redirect to field to the new URL and Save.
