Canada - Home

The home page is built of different components. Those you can edit are mentioned below.

The next few sections will show you how to edit particular parts of the home page. Most are handled through Featured Item Queues (Admin > Content > Featured Item Queues). Use the guide on featured item queues to update them.

Asset TV UK Home Page

This carousel is managed using videos in a Featured Item Queue. All videos added to the queue are displayed one by one on the home page.

Queue to edit: Frontpage: Featured (Canada)

This shows a featured video further down the page between the two video grids. To change this video you need to edit the following queue:

Queue to edit: Frontpage: Featured Body (Canada)

Live Events (Widget)

The Live Events widget is controlled by the content of the Events page.

The first Live Event in the featured item queue for the Events page is what is displayed on the home page.

For information on updating the Events page (to manage what is on the Home page), visit the guide on editing the Events page.

Hot Topics (Widget)

As the icons and labels for this widget will sometimes need to be different to the actual ones used by the channels they link to, you will need to add the label and icon images to the items in the queue.

Queue to edit: Block: Hot Topics (Canada)

Programmes (Widget)

As the icons and labels for this widget will sometimes need to be different to the actual ones used by the channels they link to, you will need to add the label and icon images to the items in the queue.

Queue to edit: Block: Our Programs (Canada)

These are simple items, they require a label, image, and link to the channel they need to point to.

Queue to edit: Frontpage: Featured Companies Grid (Canada)

The template to use for this is called Featured Company Logo Template.psd and can be found on Google Drive.

Primary Video Grid / Secondary Video Grid

The home page has two video grids. These are both controlled by ticking the Promote to front page (CA) checkbox on the video records. The order they appear is the newest to oldest, and the first grid flows into the second one.
