Channel Follow Button

Summary

The 'Channel Follow Button' allows users to subscribe to that channel and receive a notification when a new video is added to it.

Users can find the Channel they're following (subscribed to) by visiting the Dashboard and going to 'Subscriptions' using the Dashboard menu on the left.

Users will only get a notification if the Save and Send Notification button is used to save a video by Content Editors.

Managing the Follow Button

The follower counts for channels are controlled by the data team, they update these periodically. You can see the number in the admin area, but any changes you make will be reset when the data team updates the numbers.

Showing the Follow Button

Edit the channel you want to show or hide the follow button on. In the Style tab, you'll see a checkbox for Enable Followers. If you want to show the button, check this box.

Showing the Follower Count

The value for the follower count is controlled by the data team.

If you want to show the follower count, you'll need to edit the channel, go to the Style tab, and check the box for Show Followers Count.

Formatting Follower Numbers

The format of the follower numbers is also controlled by the data team.
